NAACP & LWVNWW Discuss Voting Rights 2026
Your Voting Rights: Where Do We Go from Here?
Mark your calendars for the next NAACP Ossining General Meeting on Thursday, May 21 at 7:00 PM via Zoom, where we will discuss voter registration and other election issues with Kathy Meany the Co-President of the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Northwest Westchester. A recent Supreme Court decision removed many of the remaining protections of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The Court's decision in Callais vs Louisiana has contributed to the rash of partisan redistricting undertaken by a number of southern states. Join us on May 21 for a conversation about what we can do to protect voting rights and strengthen our democracy.
